MacArthur approves of Connolly
By MIKE ZEISBERGER, QMI Agency

TORONTO - If coach Ron Wilson is looking for volunteers to play with Tim Connolly, please put Clarke MacArthur, his former Buffalo Sabres teammate, in the conversation.

MacArthur realizes Connolly has been pencilled in to centre Phil Kessel and Joffrey Lupul. Still ...

“I’d love the chance but you know what? He’ll be great with Phil. They will make a really good combo,” MacArthur said in a phone interview on Saturday night.

“From playing with him in Buffalo, I think people in Toronto will really appreciate his skill. He plays really hard and he sees the ice well.”

Connolly said MacArthur was one of the first guys to congratulate him for becoming a Leaf.

“He sent me a text already, joking around,” said Connolly, who is vacationing in Turks and Caicos. “He’s a great guy, a fun character. We’re pretty good friends and I look forward to playing with him.”

After Kessel gets the first chance at it, of course.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
