Leafs sign college prospect
By TERRY KOSHAN, QMI Agency

TORONTO - The Maple Leafs have signed 22-year-old forward Tyler Brenner to a two-year entry level contract.

Brenner, who will join the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies for the remainder of the season, spent the past three years with the NCAA’s Rochester Institute of Technology.

A 6-foot-2, 200-pound native of Linwood, Ont., Brenner had 41 points (26 goals and 15 assists) in 37 games for RIT this season. During a game this month, Brenner became the fifth player in RIT history to record 100 career points.

Brenner’s 26 goals led RIT and he also had a team-high 11 power-play goals. He was second in points.

Brenner is expected to make his Marlies debut on Wednesday on the road versus Grand Rapids.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
