Give it up for Kaberle: Schenn
By MIKE ZEISBERGER, QMI Agency

SUNRISE, Fla. — Luke Schenn wants Maple Leaf fans to give Tomas Kaberle the rousing ovation he deserves on Saturday night.

The Leafs plan to have a video tribute for Kaberle during a stoppage in play in honour of the long-time Toronto defenceman, who returns to the ACC to face his former team for the first time since being dealt to the Boston Bruins last month.

Schenn hopes Kaberle gets a similar warm welcome from the capacity crowd.

“The most comparable guy I can think of who got the same type of respect was Mats Sundin,” Schenn said. “I think it was my first year when they cheered him when he came back with Vancouver.

“Both were two well respected players in their own way who have been a huge part of Toronto. Obviously Mats was the captain here, but Kabby’s obviously in the same ball park when it comes to what he meant to the Toronto organization.”

Do you think the officiating has been fair in the Kings-Sharks series?
  Yes
  No
No ... but the refs seem to be evening it out themselves
