Komisarek out, Lashoff in

RALEIGH - Mike Komisarek quietly slipped out of the back door of the Maple Leafs dressing room at the RBC Center, wearing a spiffy suit and a look of disappointment.
Indeed, Komisarek’s frustrating 2010-11 season took another hit on Wednesday when he was forced to leave the Leafs 3-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes with what coach Ron Wilson is calling a “lower body injury.”
“He’s day-to-day,” Wilson said.
Brett Lebda, who was made a healthy scratch against the Canes in order for recent callup Matt Lashoff to suit up, likely will take Komisarek’s spot in the lineup when the Leafs meet the Florida Panthers on Thursday in Sunrise.
Lashoff performed well in the Leafs victory, registering just under 12 minutes of ice time. With Komisarek out of the mix, Wilson relied heavily on Dion Phaneuf, Keith Aulie, Luke Schenn and Carl Gunnarsson, who each played more than 20 minutes.
