TORONTO - When replays of Colby Armstrongís broken finger were first shown on Tuesday in Tampa Bay there were dire predictions the Leafs winger would be out long term.
Then he came back in the game.
Then he belted Martin St. Louis to rile up the Bolts .
Then he got into a fight with Steve Downie.
You almost expected him to be shown playing piano in the dressing room afterwards to show how much pain he could play through.
Armstrong was at the MasterCard Centre on Wednesday, but not on the ice and eluded reporters afterwards. Having suffered one serious injury to another finger already, there were concerns he would be out awhile. But a Leafs spokesman eventually provided an update that Armstrong should not miss any games at all, thanks to the five-day NHL all-star break and the injury being centred on the finger tip.
