BOSTON — He’s a Toronto-area kid, having grown up in Brampton.

Most of his childhood buddies were Leaf fans.

He played minor hockey in the region before graduating to the Ontario Hockey League.

Yet, even with all these T.O. connections, Tyler Seguin has never played at the Air Canada Centre.

Until Saturday night, that is.

“Sure it will be special,” he said. “It will be the first time in a long time I’ve seen my friends and family.

“Growing up a Toronto boy and watching the Leafs, now going home, well ... I’ll try to treat it as just another game and stay focused but in the back of my mind I know it’s going to be fun and special.”

Even if he’s peppered with all those “What would have happened if the Leafs would have kept their first round pick and selected you” questions?

“I’ve heard those from the moment I was drafted by the Bruins,” he said.

“I’m proud to be a Bruin.”
