Leafs have faith in Kadri

MARKHAM, Ont. -- Maple Leafs coach Ron Wilson knows that Nazem Kadri will be the most watched player in blue and white over the next month.

And he knows it will all begin Saturday when the Leafs rookie camp begins in London.

That said, Wilson has big hopes for the former London Knights sniper, stopping just short of saying the 2009 first-round pick has a big shot at making the team this fall.

"I have high hopes for him," Wilson said Tuesday at Angus Glen. "He's worked out hard this summer. He's put on some beef, so physically I think he'll be more prepared than he was last year.

"He understands the importantance now of playing away from the puck. He has learned that (from last year's) training camp. I know he wants to do well and I'm confident he will get the job done."
