Burke: Kaberle is entitled to his opinion

Maple Leafs general manager Brian Burke says his coach and highest scoring defenceman will have to get along this year, making the best of an awkward situation.
Tomas Kaberle will come to training camp knowing Burke wanted to trade him for the zillionth time and under the cloud of controversial comments of his father, Frantisek. The senior Kaberle told a Czech hockey magazine that Tomas and coach Ron Wilson were basically incompatible, as Wilson favoured tough players which his son is decidedly not. He predicted Tomas would waive his no-trade this season rather than re-sign if Wilson remains there and opined how the best players shun Toronto as a suitable destination because of fan and media pressure.
Burke was clearly upset to hear all of it, but refrained from a rant.
"He's entitled to his opinion, but Tomas has never expressed any of that to me," Burke said Thursday during a break in the Molson Canadian World Hockey Summit. "I've really avoided accelerating the discussion.
"Ronny will sit down with Tomas soon and sort it all out. But I'm not sure there is going to be anything that needs to be worked out."
