The Maple Leafs open their nine-game pre-season schedule on Sept. 21 with home games against the Ottawa Senators on back-to-back nights.

The schedule includes five games at the Air Canada Centre and four on the road but one of those is just down the 401 at London's John Labatt Centre.

For the second consecutive pre-season, the Leafs will meet the Philadelphia Flyers in the Forest City. The Flyers ownership group is involved with the John Labatt Centre.

Much like the previous season, it will be a hectic exhibition schedule for the Leafs with nine games in 12 days though at least it will be light in travel. Included in the contests are home-and-home series against the Detroit Red Wings, Buffalo Sabres and the Flyers. A third meeting against the Senators takes place in Ottawa.

The Leafs open their regular season on Oct. 7 with a home meeting with the Montreal Canadiens.
