NHL Playoffs: DET @ CHI

Leafs open with pair at home

The Maple Leafs' aspirations of getting off to a quick start in the 2010-11 NHL season will begin with a pair of home games against a pair of traditional Canadian-based rivals.

Toronto opens the entire league schedule on Oct. 7 and will follow that up with an Air Canada Centre date against the Ottawa Senators to kick off the Saturday night schedule two nights later.

After that the Leafs will hit the road for a pair of road games - Oct. 13 at Pittsburgh, their first visit to the Penguins new arena and Oct. 15 against the Rangers.

The full schedule, released moments ago, is as follows:
