First, Wilson wanted 24 dish

TORONTO - When Ron Wilson and Dion Phaneuf met in Toronto a month ago, the coach kept the future captain guessing on the purpose of the summit.

So Wilson talked about the NHL playoffs and the TV hit 24 which happens to feature Phaneuf’s girlfriend, Elisha Cuthbert.

“I wanted to dig a little bit, keep him guessing,” Wilson said with a laugh.

When he finally got around to offering the captaincy, Wilson said Phaneuf was “very excited and humbled by it.”

While he professes to appreciate the significance of the appointment, Phaneuf has his own idea of what NHL leadership is all about.

“I think the best way to lead is you definitely want to be the guy who’s working the hardest day in and day out,” Phaneuf said.

“That’s what I’m going to bring to our team. I want to be known as the guy who works the hardest.”

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
