Loiselle to be Leafs' assistant GM
Ex-Toronto winger promoted from scouting post

Claude Loiselle is getting a promotion within the Maple Leafs’ hockey office.

The former Toronto forward, assistant GM of the Tampa Bay Lightning and NHL hockey associate operations executive has been working with the Leafs in a pro scouting capacity the past half season.

Loiselle, whose hiring will become official next week, will likely inherit some of the contract and salary cap duties of Jeff Jackson, who had a mutual parting of the ways as assistant GM and director of hockey operations in early March. Loiselle turned 47 on Saturday.
