NO CANADA!

There have been some brutal renditions of O Canada in visiting rinks over the years. Thursday's version at Atlanta's Philips Arena ranks right up there.

Perhaps arena workers should be checking out if there are cracks in the windows after some of the awful notes that were bellowed out during the embarrassing performance.

And you thought Rosanne was bad!

PIPE DREAMS

There was no shortage of iron in the Maple Leafs diet in the first period, a 20-minute span in which the visitors hit the post twice.

FIGHT NIGHT

Maple Leafs pugilist Colton Orr needs to help Viktor Stalberg work on his fighting techniques. Stalberg was more than willing to drop the gloves with the Thrashers' Zach Bogosian in the second period. Unfortunately, Bogosian popped him in the face before he even had a chance to get ready.

Are you surprised Don Cherry backed Daniel Alfredsson's comments?
  Yes.
  No.
It's Don Cherry - who knows what he will say.
  Not sure.
