SHOW MUST GO ON

Offering little in the way of explanation, coach Ron Wilson said winger Fredrik Sjostrom would be out two weeks. Sjostrom, one of the big reasons the Leafs' penalty killing looked a lot better recently, suffered an apparent shoulder injury on Saturday in Ottawa.

STEW COOKS IN T.O.

It was 26 years ago Wednesday that Stew Gavin took a Borje Salming pass and scored Toronto's first overtime goal of the modern regular-season era. Gavin, who now runs a wealth management firm with several Leafs and NHLers as clients, has a vivid memory of the goal. The NHL reinstated OT in 1984-85.

"For years and years, overtime was just in playoffs," Gavin said "But I'll never forget that goal."

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
