JIGGY IMPRESSED

The Maple Leafs nearly beat the best team in the Western Conference, the San Jose Sharks, on Monday night with a roster that resembled something straight out of a pre-season game in the middle of September.

Nazem Kadri, on emergency recall, Viktor Stalberg and Andre Deveaux all had good efforts, as did another youngster, Tyler Bozak.

"It's a good sign," goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere said. "It shows the organization is pretty deep in the young pool of talent. We have been able to call up a lot of young guys and they have done a good job. It's not easy for them, but they stepped up."

Only a couple of cheesy goals by the Sharks in the second period made the difference. Otherwise, the Leafs outplayed the visitors.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
