THE STORYLINES

-Retribution, anyone? By sending the skilled Viktor Stalberg to the Marlies and bringing up muscle in the form of Jay Rosehill (two points, 122 penalty minutes), the Leafs appear to be preparing a physical message for visiting Philadelphia after dropping a 6-2 fight-filled decision to the Flyers eight days ago.

-The Flyers have opened the scoring in 10 consecutive contests, going 8-1-1 in that span. That's bad news for the Leafs, who have allowed the opening goal in more than half their games.

FLYERS NOTES

G Michael Leighton is expected to start his 11th game in a row ... C Mike Richards has a five-game point streak and at least a point in eight of his last 10 games (6-6-12) ... C Jeff Carter has at least a point in seven of his last 10 games (4-7-11)

INJURIES

Flyers: D Chris Pronger and F Scott Hartnell sat out practice yesterday with the flu but are expected to play. D Danny Syvret (upper body) is out.
