CALGARY -- Mike Komisarek and Phil Kessel both love the enthusiasm and passion of Canadian hockey fans.
As American Olympians though, they would love nothing more than to turn that passion to depression.
The Maple Leafs pair were among the 23 players named to Team USA this afternoon by general manager Brian Burke, their boss in Toronto.
"We're going there to win," Burke said. "We're excited about our chances."
It will be the first trip to the Olympics for both players, who became Leafs in the off-season.
The addition of the two Americans means six players currently on the Leafs roster headed for Vancouver.
Niklas Hagman will represent Finland, Jonas Gustavsson for Sweden, Mikhail Grabovski on Belarus and Tomas Kaberle with the Czech Republic.
When Kessel's name was announced at Fenway Park, where the Winter Classic was played, Boston fans booed the former Bruin.
