Work is fun again for Toskala

The healthier Vesa Toskala feels, the more he wants to play. And, unlike last year, even practise.

The Maple Leafs goalie had his second strong outing in as many games last night at the Air Canada and is starting to enjoy the confidence that goes with it.

"It's the best I've felt in four or five years, really," Toskala said after stopping 30 of 32 Islanders shots. "Everything is more under control. I don't have to worry about sliding across the crease. I'm able to practise and not worry about it.

"Everything is just a lot more fun right now."

Only Islanders rookie John Tavares could beat him with a pair of power-play goals.

"It's nice to see him put together a couple good games and get the crowd back on his side," Leafs coach Ron Wilson said. "It's huge for his confidence. I don't want to see him get buried at home."

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
