SHORT AND SWEET
As per coach Ron Wilson's suggestion, the Leafs kept the return of Nik Antropov and Pavel Kubina low-key, with a brief split-screen look at the pair during a timeout. Earlier this year, Wilson was insisting long welcome back ceremonies were not a distraction to his team.
STEMP OF APPROVAL
Lee Stempniak picked up his 100th NHL assist last night, as well as his 75th career goal.
KESSEL MUSCLE
Phil Kessel now has 16 points in 17 games as a Leaf, though he has yet to ignite the power play, which continued its struggles last night.
