BLAKE'S AWAKE

Leafs forward Jason Blake scored his long-awaited third goal of the season. He had been held scoreless for 12 games.

MASON JAR-ED

After watching Steve Mason give up four goals on just 14 shots, Jackets coach Ken Hitchcock gave Mason the hook. Backup Mathieu Garon was beaten by Nikolai Kulemin on the first shot he faced.

PSEUDO SHUTOUT

Goalie Joey MacDonald finished off 60 minutes of shutout hockey over two nights when he blanked the Jackets in the first period. MacDonald, who was in for the final 40 minutes of the Leafs' 3-0 win over Montreal on Tuesday, had to make a big save on Sammi Pahlsson with five seconds left in the first.
