NO UPDATE

Leafs coach Ron Wilson had no specific update on the status of defenceman Mike Komisarek, but the big defenceman did not skate yesterday at the Mastercard Centre and is questionable for tomorrow's game against Chicago.

Komisarek re-aggravated a leg injury sustained during Saturday's 5-1 win over Detroit and played only six shifts against the Wild on Tuesday night. If Komisarek is a scratch, Garnet Exelby likely will return to the lineup.

"It has been a little bit frustrating playing a week and not playing a week," said Exelby, who has been a healthy scratch for six games this season. "Nobody wants to be that guy fighting for ice time and fighting just to be in the lineup.

"When I do get a chance to get in, no matter what the circumstances are, I'm going to try to show well and do what I can to make that decision harder for the coaching staff in the future."

TIME FOR TOSKALA

After rookie Jonas Gustavsson has started the past four games in net, Wilson acknowledged that Vesa Toskala is likely to return to action this weekend.

Wilson wouldn't be specific, but said that with back-to-back games, Toskala likely will get the call for either tomorrow's game in Chicago or for a home date against Calgary on Saturday.

LOOSE LEAFS

Last Friday's game against Carolina set a new ratings record for Leafs TV as 314,000 viewers tuned in to the broadcast ... With a pair of assists on Tuesday, Tomas Kaberle moved into the top 10 in league scoring prior to last night's action.
