Leafs get in spooky spirit

The Maple Leafs are looking for their first win, but earned lots of points for creativity this week at the team's Halloween dinner party.

The players and their wives and girlfriends had some elaborate and spooky get-ups.

"There were a couple of good ones," winger Viktor Stalberg said. "Wayne Primeau was the Joker from the Batman movie, he had some pretty good make-up done and was very scary.

"Rickard Wallin and I came as the Super Mario Brothers."

Stalberg's favourite?

"Someone came as Brian Burke," he said of the Leafs' white-haired, tough talking general manager. "I won't mention any names,"

Defenceman Mike Komisarek was impressed at the wide array of characters.

"There were a lot of cheeky ones to say the least," said the defenceman, refusing to reveal his own. "But it was pretty neat to have dinner and get to know everybody. We're a family at the end of all this."

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
