THE STORYLINES

- Can Leafs avoid falling in an early hole and thus give themselves a shot at the first win of the season? Toronto has trailed 2-0 in five of six games thus far.

- The best team in the league by points (the Rangers, who are tied with Pittsburgh at 12) meet the worst (the Leafs with one.).

- Hit the road. After tonight's game, the Leafs don't play at the ACC until Nov. 3 and aren't in action until a week tonight in Vancouver.

RANGERS NOTES

Rangers are on a six-game win streak, their longest in nearly four years ... Off-season acquisition Marion Gaborik is making an impact with his new team. The former Minnesota Wild winger has at least a point in all seven games ... The Rangers are considering starting backup Stephen Valiquette, an Etobicoke native.

LEAFS INJURIES

Jonas Gustavsson (groin); Phil Kessel (shoulder); Vesa Toskala (knee); Mike Van Ryn (knee)

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
