DOWN TO FARM

As expected, forward Tyler Bozak was shipped back to the Marlies yesterday. Bozak, who was brought up when Nik Hagman and Matt Stajan were benched, had an assist in the Maple Leafs' 4-1 losss to the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday in his first NHL game.

SENDING A MESSAGE

Leafs coach Ron Wilson hopes the veteran benchings will help spark his team.

"It wasn't so much about them, it was a message to everybody else too," Wilson said. "You saw what happened to Matt last year - he came out and had a great five or six weeks (after being benched for a game.)"

PRIMEAU TO HAVE MRI

Wilson said forward Wayne Primeau will get an MRI on his injured shoulder and is most likely to return next week.

Would Patrick Roy make a good coach for the Colorado Avalanche?
  Yes, he's perfect
  No, he's not ready
  Bring him to Montreal!
