No trouble with Tucker tribute

The Maple Leafs players probably could have done without the distraction of a Darcy Tucker tribute during the game against the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday.

But Leafs coach Ron Wilson wasn't going to quibble with general manager Brian Burke's decision to honour another ex-Leaf. Tucker received a standing ovation after a video montage of his eight-year Leaf career, with his Avalanche teammates joining in. The Leafs stood awkwardly around their bench and the ice and Tucker scored soon after.

"I don't micro-manage that kind of stuff," Wilson said. "Those guys deserve a tribute. Last year (we) remembered Mats Sundin. In San Jose we did it with Scott Thornton and Mike Ricci.

"Tucker did a lot of great things when he was here, he was a warrior for the team. I truly believe he deserves the chance to say hello and goodbye to the fans. Unfortunately, that kind of led to a goal, but you can't blame (the ceremony). The fans should be cheering."

Do you think the officiating has been fair in the Kings-Sharks series?
  Yes
  No
No ... but the refs seem to be evening it out themselves
