LAST NIGHT IN NEW YORK

COLTON'S CORNER

Maple Leafs pugilist Colton Orr still has a lot of support in The Big Apple.

The former Ranger dropped the gloves with New York's Donald Brashear midway through the first period, a spirited scrap that got brought the crowd to its feet. When his name was subsequently announced as receiving a fighting major, there were plenty of cheers throughout the building.

BOO WHO?

Despite scoring the Rangers' second goal last night, defenceman Wade Redden remains the scapegoat of the leather-lunged Madison Square Garden faithful.

How bad are things for Redden? When his name was announced as part of the Rangers starting lineup, the fans started booing.

And that was five minutes before he had ever set foot on the ice.
