TRUSTY TLUSTY

Leafs forward Jiri Tlusty scored his much-anticipated first goal (and point) of the pre-season but it took a second-period penalty shot to get it.

Tlusty made a nice move on Sabres goalie Ryan Miller, slipping the puck between his legs.

COLLEGE TRY

Prospect Tyler Bozak admits the main training camp plus the earlier rookie version has been a grind. But the more the forward plays, the more he feels comfortable with the opportunity. Bozak saw power-play duty again last night, working the point with Ian White.

"I had no clue where I was going to come in and play," said Bozak, who logged 16 minutes and 40 seconds last night. "It's jut a great thing that (coach Ron Wilson) has given me the opportunity to play in so many different situations and try to show my stuff."

JAMMED

Leafs forward Jamal Mayers is still sidelined after, in Wilson's words, "getting his bell rung" on Tuesday against Pittsburgh.
