Kaberle's an April Fool

Tomas Kaberle's return to the Maple Leafs lineup has been pushed back yet again.

Kaberle, who had hoped to come back sometime this week, apparently will not have that wish come to fruition.

Now the target date is April 1 when the Leafs host the Philadelphia Flyers at the Air Canada Centre.

Coach Ron Wilson made the announcement this morning, saying the Flyers game is a more realistic goal for Kaberle than either of the games this weekend. The Leafs travel to Buffalo to face the Sabres Friday, then host the Boston Bruins Saturday at the Air Canada Centre.

Kaberle was aiming to, at worst, play in one of those games. Now he'll have to wait even longer.

At least his physical conditioning seems to be in order.

"He's in good shape," Wilson said of Kaberle's physical conditioning.

Obviously the same cannot be said of Kaberle's healing right hand, which has been injured twice in the past two months.

Kaberle was one of the final players off the ice at the morning skate.

"Nothing's changed," Kaberle said.

We beg to differ. Something has, in fact, changed.

Specifically, his return date. Again.
