Deveaux back up

The Maple Leafs have added more beef to their lineup.

With Nikolai Kulemin having returned to Toronto to be with his wife, who was due to give birth, the Leafs brought back 6-foot-4 forward Andre Deveaux, who was with Toronto for 20 games earlier this season.

"I'm thrilled to be back ... I'm probably not as nervous as the first time around," said Deveaux, who had one assist and 75 penalty minutes during his first stint as a Leaf.

"Andre actually has a surprising amount of skill," coach Ron Wilson said. "In the American league he does quite well and we need him to play that way. We've got to find ways to score goals, not just beat people up."

Deveaux had 11 goals, eight assists and 108 penalty minutes in 28 games with the Marlies.

Wilson said Kulemin might be back for the team's game against Montreal at the Bell Centre Saturday.

Sharing the love

Prior to practice yesterday, Wilson made the entire team stand in a circle at centre ice, then had Jason Blake and Mikhail Grabovski skate in and hug each other. Blake and Grabovski have had two run-ins during practice the past five weeks, including one Monday.

Are you surprised Don Cherry backed Daniel Alfredsson's comments?
  Yes.
  No.
It's Don Cherry - who knows what he will say.
  Not sure.
