Loose Leafs

Tomorrow's game against the Florida Panthers will wrap up the Maple Leafs' longest homestand of the season -- a four-game stretch that has included wins over Ottawa and Atlanta and a loss to Buffalo ... Coach Ron Wilson was impressed with his team's defensive effort in the 3-1 win over Ottawa on Saturday, given what he described as a virus that hit a few players, most notably Jeff Finger. As a result, Jonas Frogren logged 20 minutes and 20 seconds, five minutes more than his season average ... The two-game rest seemed to help goalie Vesa Toskala, who turned in one of his steadiest efforts. "He was mentally fresh and physically probably the best that he's been in a month," Wilson said.
