Ron Wilson appears to have settled on at least one of his forward lines ... at least for now.
The Maple Leafs coach said yesterday he will try Alex Steen at centre with two newcomers, Niklas Hagman on left wing and Nikolai Kulemin on the right. Steen played mostly on the wing since joining the Leafs in 2005-06, Hagman scored 27 with the Dallas Stars last season and ex-Russian Leaguer Kulemin said earlier this summer he was fine anywhere.
Wilson wasn't as willing to reveal who will get first chance at replacing Mats Sundin as the No. 1 centre, but general manager Cliff Fletcher said he believes Nik Antropov will get his chance sometime before the end of training camp.
Wilson warned not to read anything into his lines for the first two days of workouts this weekend, since the team shifts into experimental mode during its exhibition games.
