Cliff Fletcher said no firm decisions have been made as to which Maple Leafs, if any, will be bought out.

"There is no reason to," the Leafs' interim general manager said yesterday. "Most of those decisions would be made in June. Something you decide now might not be the same in six weeks."

There have been whispers that players such as Darcy Tucker and Andrew Raycroft have been given the heads-up that their careers with the Leafs are over. Tucker's agent, Carlos Sosa, said that while he has had no discussions with Fletcher, he noted that Fletcher has not said publicly that Tucker is safe.

Telling players they are toast now might not make sense, given that a new general manager might not want to follow the same path.
