With Maple Leafs tickets as scarce as goals by Toronto FC this season, the public will have a rare opportunity to snap up some today.

A limited number of single game tickets for the 2007-08 regular season will go on sale at noon. They can be purchased by online at www.mapleleafs.com or via telephone through Ticketmaster at 416-872-5000.

Tickets will not be sold through the Air Canada Centre box office or any Ticketmaster outlets on the first day of sale. There is a limit of four tickets per game up to a maximum of eight tickets total.

Boo who?

Asked about the relationship between he and fellow goalie Vesa Toskala, Andrew Raycroft replied: "There won't be any stories about punch-ups between us, which is unfortunate for you (media members). We could always make something up."

Raycroft looks forward to splitting time with Toskala.

"At least 20 of 30 teams use a tandem," he said. "Marty Brodeur and Roberto Luongo play 70 games a year but they're two of the best goalies to ever play." Of being booed by the home fans last year, Raycroft shrugged his shoulders. "A scapegoat? Sometimes you deserve criticism, sometimes you don't."

LOOSE LEAFS

Coach Paul Maurice had pencilled in highly regarded forward prospect Nikolai Kulemin to start camp alongside Mats Sundin and Jason Blake. But Kulemin opted to stay overseas in Russia, where he is playing for Magnitogorsk of the Russian elite league, leaving Nik Antropov to take his spot on the line for workouts.
