Hedman has Olympic dreams

No. 2 overall pick Victor Hedman's first goal for his initial campaign is not just to make the Tampa Bay roster, but to have an impact with the struggling team.

But the big Swedish defenceman admitted he wouldn't mind if that process helped catch the eye of those putting together his country's Olympic hockey team.

"To be part of that would be great, but it's up to the coaches," Hedman said. "I've played for the national team before but I haven't talked about participating in these Olympics. We will see about that during the season. If I have a good start, hopefully I'll get there."
