NASHVILLE -- The Nashville Predators on Wednesday claimed Marek Svatos off waivers from St. Louis, one day after the forward agreed to a one-year contract with the Blues.
Svatos played in 19 games with Avangard Omsk of Russia's Kontinental Hockey League before signing with the Blues. However, the 28-year-old was required to clear waivers before joining the club.
The Slovakian native has registered 96 goals and 68 assists in 316 career NHL games, all with Colorado.
