Jets training camp preview: Position by position
Few jobs up for grabs with shortened season

WINNIPEG - The training camp roster is small, and there are no exhibition games on the slate to give those long shots a chance to strut their stuff for the brass.

No, the Jets roster is basically all but set, just as it would have been going into a normal season, but it’s less likely to undergo massive changes with so little time to prepare for the 48-game season.

So there’s no time like the present to take a position-by-position look at Winnipeg’s depth chart, which is a little up in the air right now considering the Jets haven’t made head coach Claude Noel available to the media yet. Then again, Noel isn’t a big fan of numbering lines anyway.

Here’s how we see the team going into the opening of training camp on Sunday; who’s on top and who needs to make some waves in a short period of time to crack the opening-day lineup.
