WASHINGTON, D.C. - It sounds like Mike Green could use a new nickname.

Although he's occasionally been referred to as Casual Mike by his teammates, perhaps Mr. Clutch might be a little more appropriate, given Green's penchant for delivering in important moments for the Washington Capitals.

The latest installment came Saturday afternoon before a packed house at Verizon Center, in a game that felt like it could go three or four overtime periods.

The Capitals had been close to finding the back of the net on several occasions, but it was one of those days when New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist looked like he might not let one past him -- no matter how good the scoring chance.
