Ryan Kesler was The Beast.

Roberto Luongo made all kinds of great saves.

The Vancouver Canucks pretty much played as well as they can.

It still wasn’t enough.

Even with all those elements in place, the Canucks are left reeling in their opening-round Stanley Cup playoff series with the San Jose Sharks.

Just when it appeared Vancouver was about to even the best-of-seven affair, Patrick Marleau scored in the final minute of regulation and Raffi Torres netted the winner to give the Sharks a 3-2 overtime victory Friday at Rogers Arena, giving the Sharks a two-games-to-none stranglehold in the series.
