Canucks' win marathon

The Vancouver Canucks will ice a lineup tonight that includes four Swedes, two Finns and a Dane against the Dallas Stars in the second game of their Western conference quarterfinal series (6 p.m., Team 1040/CBC/RDS).

If they had a Norwegian, they'd have a Scandinavian slam.

The Dane is Jannik Hansen, who was called up from American Hockey League's Manitoba Moose yesterday. Vancouver drafted the 21-year-old left-winger in 2004. He had a dozen goals and 22 helpers for Manitoba. Also jetting west from Winnipeg is centre Nathan Smith. He played once for Vancouver in the regular season, and scored 19 times and assisted 21 goals for Manitoba.

They replace Matt Cooke (groin strain) and Alexandre Burrows (concussion).

Burrows left with four minutes to go in the first overtime period Wednesday night after a clean hit by Star Stephane Robidas.

The Stars are missing veteran centres Eric Lindros (groin, day-to-day) and Patrick Stefan (hip) and agitator/right-winger Matthew Barnaby (concussion). Lindros didn't make the trip to Vancouver.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
