The San Jose Sharks, a team desperate for good news, finally received some.

Right-winger Martin Havlat, who has missed five games with a groin injury, will likely be back in the lineup for Saturday's Game 3 of their NHL Western Conference semifinal against the Los Angeles Kings.

“There's a good chance he'll play,” said Sharks head coach Todd McLellan after Saturday's morning skate. “He's come to see me and he thinks he's ready to go, so we'll find a spot for him.”

Havlat's return would be a boost to a team that is trying to dig out of an 0-2 hole as the best-of-seven series shifts to HP Pavilion in San Jose.
