Arron Asham of the Pittsburgh Penguins said Thursday his four-game suspension for cross-checking Philadelphia Flyer Brayden Schenn in the face was stiffer than he expected.

"I was surprised by the number of games," Asham told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "I thought (Nicklas) Backstrom's was a lot worse."

The Washington Capitals' Backstrom got a one-game ban for cross-checking Boston Bruin Rich Peverley in the face.
