PHILADELPHIA - Pittsburgh Penguins forward Craig Adams has received an automatic one-game suspension for instigating a fight in the final five minutes of Sunday's 8-4 loss to Philadelphia.
Adams, who scrapped with the Flyers' Scott Hartnell at 15:18 of the third period, will miss Wednesday's Game 4, a potential elimination game for the Penguins.
Pittsburgh head coach Dan Bylsma also was fined $10,000 for Adams' actions.
The suspension and fine are mandatory as per NHL rules.
