Torres has hearing, verdict Saturday

Raffi Torres, suspended indefinitely because of a violent hit on the Chicago Blackhawks' Marian Hossa, will get the NHL's final verdict Saturday on how he will be disciplined.
The Phoenix Coyotes forward had a hearing Friday in New York with the NHL's department of player safety -- and director of discipline Brendan Shanahan said a decision would be released the next day.
Torres was accompanied by Coyotes general manager Don Maloney at the hearing, and representatives of the NHLPA also attended.
Hossa was carried off the ice on a stretcher after being hit Tuesday by Torres in Game 3 of the Western Conference quarterfinal in Chicago. Hossa hasn't played since. The Blackhawks, who trail the series 3-1, said he wouldn't accompany the team to Phoenix for Game 5 Saturday.
Torres' track record won't work in his favour. The 30-year-old was suspended for two games for a hit this past December on the Minnesota Wild's Nathan Prosser, and got a four-game ban for an elbow on Edmonton Oiler Jordan Eberle in April 2011.
