Coyotes’ Vrbata misses practice
By QMI Agency

High-scoring winger Radim Vrbata of the Phoenix Coyotes didn't practise Friday and was listed as day to day with an upper-body injury.

Coyotes coach Dave Tippett said that while Vrbata didn't skate with the team he did work out off the ice.

"We'll see where he is at (Saturday) morning," Tippett said.

Vrbata played just two shifts in Game 1 Thursday of the Western Conference series against the Chicago Blackhawks. He got hurt after taking a hit into the boards from Chicago's Andrew Shaw.

Perhaps complicating the issue, Vrbata suffered muscle cramps throughout March after an allergic reaction to penicillin. Vrbata, 30, had a team-leading 35 goals plus 27 assists in 77 games this season.

Would Patrick Roy make a good coach for the Colorado Avalanche?
  Yes, he's perfect
  No, he's not ready
  Bring him to Montreal!
