It's getting harder to tell which Ottawa Senator generates the loudest crowd roar during the starting lineup introductions at Scotiabank Place.

Again Wednesday, it sounded like the most love was reserved for "Stone Cold" Craig Anderson.

"No, Alfie's is way louder," the goalie said after the morning skate, referring, of course, to Daniel Alfredsson. "I got the sound meter out there, in my back pocket. I pull it out, it's Alfie for sure."

Let's ask an independent third party.

"I think it's pretty even between the two of them," said Marc Methot. "Alfie's a God in this city. So to compare anybody to Alfie is pretty bold.

"I'd like to think I'm catching up to both of them."

All kidding aside, fans and teammates needed to pay Anderson homage once again for keeping the Senators in the game Wednesday. Sidney Crosby would have had another hat trick, this time by the 11-minute mark of the first period, had Tomas Vokoun or any other ordinary goalie been between Ottawa's pipes.
