Ottawa Senators goaltender Craig Anderson looking for elusive playoff success

All eyes are on Craig Anderson.

After missing six weeks with an ankle injury, the Senators' top goalie returned in time to play down the stretch and led the club into the post-season. Starting Thursday in Montreal against the Canadiens, the real work begins for Anderson and the team.

Though Anderson, 31, put up impressive numbers during the regular season, he hasn't had as much success in the playoffs -- at any level.

Anderson was winless in seven junior playoff decisions with the OHL's Guelph Storm and went 8-14 in the AHL playoffs with Norfolk and Rochester. Twice he's been to the dance in the NHL and hasn't come away a winner.

No, it's not all his fault because who knows what was going on in front of him, but if Anderson is to be considered an elite-level goalie then he has to have playoff success. That's just the way it goes in the NHL.
