So who will start? Pascal Leclaire or Brian Elliott?

Senators coach Cory Clouston has to make the biggest decision of his NHL coaching career for Game 5 against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Mellon Arena. The Senators trail the series 3-1 in games and face elimination.

The reality is it will likely be Elliott. He has been the starter throughout the series for the Senators, but on the other side of the equation he did allow four goals on 19 shots in Pittsburgh in Game 1, even though the Senators got the victory.

"We know who we're starting. We'll announce it the day of the game like we always have," said Clouston.

Pascal Leclaire, who got into last night's 7-4 loss in Game 4 when Elliott was pulled, said he has heard nothing.

"I'm fine. I don't know what's going on. I will find later on tonight or tomorrow morning," Leclaire said. "I felt fine last night. It's no problem. It's playoff hockey and we're still alive."

Elliott said he would like the chance.

"Right now I have no idea. I would love the opportunity to get back in there but whatever happens, happens," said Elliott.

Are the Senators ready to turn to rookie Mike Brodeur? Clouston didn't dismiss the possibility this morning at Scotibank Place.

Brodeur scored two straight wins in the club's net in January. He has been at practice with the Black Aces -- players who are with the team, but not dressing for games. Neither Leclaire nor Elliott was very good in the club's 7-4 loss in a crucial Game 4 at home Tuesday.

"I'm not going to comment on that because I'm not going to comment on who our goalie will be," said Clouston. "You're right, when we needed him (Brodeur) he was very good for us a couple of crucial times in times in the season. I will admit that for sure."
