NOTES

Senators D Chris Phillips was unable to play last night. Phillips, who left during Ottawa's 5-2 win in Game 4 with what appeared to be a knee injury at the end of the second period, reported to the rink with soreness and didn't take part in the pre-game skate. In Game 4, Phillips said at the time he could have returned for the third period, but elected not to come back because Ottawa had a two-goal lead. Phillips' spot was taken by D Christoph Schubert.
