Injured Nashville Predators defenceman Hal Gill skated briefly with his teammates Monday.

Gill hasn't played in the first three games of Nashville's first-round playoff series with the Detroit Red Wings due to a lower-body injury. He left the workout, his first during the post-season, before contact was introduced.

"He'll be just day-to-day and we'll see where he is (Tuesday)," Preds coach Barry Trotz told the Tennessean. "He said he felt a lot better. I said don't push it too hard. He was fine, he actually stayed out there for quite a while."

Gill is still a long-shot to play in Game 4 Tuesday in Detroit.

Trotz also shifted his forwards around, moving David Legwand to the fourth line, Paul Gaustad to the third and Nick Spaling to the second. Jordin Tootoo is likely the odd man out.

Would Patrick Roy make a good coach for the Colorado Avalanche?
  Yes, he's perfect
  No, he's not ready
  Bring him to Montreal!
