Nashville defenceman Hal Gill continues to battle a lower-body injury that sidelined him again for Game 2 of the Predators-Detroit Red Wings opening-round series.

The 6-foot-7 defenceman skated Friday morning at Bridgestone Arena but did not feel well enough to play Friday night. He was hurt April 5.

"It's getting better," the 37-year-old said. "It's something I have to take day by day and test it without pushing too hard."
